The Closer we get to the holidays, the more and more hectic life seems to become! With Finals closely approaching i haven't even had a chance to finish my own christmas tree. So i finally decided to take a break from the books and show some quick and easy decor ideas that I love.
This past Weekend we met my family in salt lake to go to the Festival of Trees at the Southtown Expo Center. It was CRAZY!!!! There were so many people and so many trees. Not to mention strollers to navigate around. Despite the crowds i love going to see the new trends, get decor ideas and smell the yummy scones. I managed to snap pictures of a few of my favorite trees.
This was Definatley the most popular tree at the festival! The "Up" Tree. Notice the Balloon house topper. So Cute.
This tree is amazing in person. The picture does not even do it justice!
Even though i havent been able to splurge and go all out on christmas decorations this year... I was able to help my mama go all out! I am pretty proud of her cute Tree. Its worth the time to have a tree that looks like you cared about it!
Its a little blurry, but you can get the idea.
Pinspiration of a Feathery whimsical wreath caught my eye months ago and i just could not let it go. I had to try it, and the best part is it took me a whole 15 Minutes!
What you'll Need:
A Styrofoam Ring ( 12.99 - I used 14x4 @ Hobby Lobby. Any Size works but I think the bigger the better) My ring was Green to start out with. I attempted to spray paint it white but the styrofoam wouldnt take well. I suggest bypassing the spray paint and just finding a white foam if youre worried about color showing through.
3 Feather Boas (6.99 White @hobby lobby)
Ribbon you love (3.00 Silver Sparkle @ Walmart)
Hot Glue gun
After Wrapping the Boa around the Foam, secure ends with a small amount of hot glue. You can try tacs or pins but my boa was too thick to hold. Then Add your Pretty Ribbon and VOILA!! Cheap and Fast Whimsical Pretty Wreath. Also Add twinkley White Lights for Nighttime or dress it up with ornaments, ribbon, Monogram etc. I love the simple feather fullness for now.
One of My favorite things this year is the variety of Decor you can create without spending an arm and a leg. These are some of my favorite. They are so classy and elegant.
And of Course... what kind of Christmas would it be without some animal print :)
Happy Decorating!
