Easy New Years Eve Clam Dip

This recipe is a staple at our house for our New Years Eve party. I know the "clam" part may turn off the non-seafooders, but i promise even the picky fish haters at my house love it. Just Add Lays Ruffle Potato Chips and some Diet coke and you'll be in heaven.

Holiday Fun

This past week has been crazy and so much fun. As soon as finals end, its officially my favorite time of year. Family, Shopping, Movies, Cuddling under the Christmas Tree, Sleeping in, Cooking, Eating, Cooking and Eating. There is nothing better. On Friday we headed to downtown Salt Lake to go to the Annual Vanguard Christmas Party at the Joseph Smith Building. It was fun to see everyone from the office that i hadn't seen in a while and meet the new employees. The view from our room in the Joseph Smith building was so pretty with all the lights and the temple right out our window. After lots of games and white elephant... We headed home and watched "The Help".

Yesterday My parents celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary!... They left to celebrate for the day and we all went shopping at the outlets in PC. It was Freezing cold but a successful shopping trip!! After we met up with mom and dad for dinner at Squatters Grill in PC And Saw the new Mission Impossible {Ghost Protocol} . Its Amazing!

Mrs. Claus {Ideas for Him}

We're 5 DAYS AWAY from Christmas! I can't believe it. It does not feel like Christmas to me quite yet so I'm hoping for a serious snow day. Maybe that will do the trick??... The only thing that makes it a little more realistic is the crazy amount of shopping I've been doing lately. This is probably the only time of year a girl gets to shop on a daily basis {that I'll admit to my husband at least}and i love love love it! Having said all that, it may be easy to shop til you drop for girls like yourself who you can pick out scarves, makeup, purses, shoes, jewelry, etc etc etc all things you know they'll love because you Love them as well. However, I have all men in my family and shopping for the boys every year is a constant struggle. Literally! Why is it they are so hard to shop for? So I've thoroughly researched all my boys this year {ages 18-old} and thought i should share some good ideas...

Holiday Decor

The Closer we get to the holidays, the more and more hectic life seems to become! With Finals closely approaching i haven't even had a chance to finish my own christmas tree. So i finally decided to take a break from the books and show some quick and easy decor ideas that I love.

This past Weekend we met my family in salt lake to go to the Festival of Trees at the Southtown Expo Center. It was CRAZY!!!! There were so many people and so many trees. Not to mention strollers to navigate around. Despite the crowds i love going to see the new trends, get decor ideas and smell the yummy scones. I managed to snap pictures of a few of my favorite trees.

This was Definatley the most popular tree at the festival! The "Up" Tree. Notice the Balloon house topper. So Cute.

This tree is amazing in person. The picture does not even do it justice!

Even though i havent been able to splurge and go all out on christmas decorations this year... I was able to help my mama go all out! I am pretty proud of her cute Tree. Its worth the time to have a tree that looks like you cared about it!

Its a little blurry, but you can get the idea.

Pinspiration of a Feathery whimsical wreath caught my eye months ago and i just could not let it go. I had to try it, and the best part is it took me a whole 15 Minutes!

What you'll Need:
A Styrofoam Ring ( 12.99 - I used 14x4 @ Hobby Lobby. Any Size works but I think the bigger the better) My ring was Green to start out with. I attempted to spray paint it white but the styrofoam wouldnt take well. I suggest bypassing the spray paint and just finding a white foam if youre worried about color showing through.

3 Feather Boas (6.99 White @hobby lobby)

Ribbon you love (3.00 Silver Sparkle @ Walmart)
Hot Glue gun

After Wrapping the Boa around the Foam, secure ends with a small amount of hot glue. You can try tacs or pins but my boa was too thick to hold. Then Add your Pretty Ribbon and VOILA!! Cheap and Fast Whimsical Pretty Wreath. Also Add twinkley White Lights for Nighttime or dress it up with ornaments, ribbon, Monogram etc. I love the simple feather fullness for now.

One of My favorite things this year is the variety of Decor you can create without spending an arm and a leg. These are some of my favorite. They are so classy and elegant.

And of Course... what kind of Christmas would it be without some animal print :)

Happy Decorating!
