Show Me Your Grill

Cory and I are babysitting this little Joy while my Family is out of town. She is quite a handful and has quite the personality as you can see. I like to think this is her "Sister- I love you, lets go hang out with eachother" gaze. But having the parents away, she suffers from a little seperation anxiety. ALOT. of serperation anxiety.No. Shes clinically depressed at this point and i hope mom and dad make it home before she dies of starvation. On the bright side, I've learned alot from little Cola...

1. I am NOT ready for a child
2. I should look for the bright side in things, even if they don't always look the brightest @ the moment {She could be having so much fun with us}
3. Greet every person at the door with the same excitement youd greet the love of your life {Kisses, screams (barks) , loves, hugs and tailwags}
4-Send off every person out the door like you'll never see them again
and 5- Make sad/hilarious faces like this one to get WHATEVER you want.
{Well played Cola, Well Played}

I guess Cory and I will be having a 3rd wheel on our date night tonight!
Happy Date Night

Sunday blue (MIxing blues)

I am in Love with chambray right now. It looks great on everyone and is easy to pair with various types of outfits. I always love it with skinny's, boots, and a cardigan for those extra chilly school days, But, I've played around with my chambray look for church on Sunday and i can not get enough of it. Tucking a chambray top into a classic pencil skirt makes for a fun, trendy twist to a Sunday outfit. Then Add a chunky Metal or Pearl Necklace to dress it up. I always find myself shivering through my 3 hour block so i also pair it with somewhat thick black Tights, and a nice Coat/Blazer to take on and off as needed.

Chambray Top- JCrew {Similar @ Old Navy}
Black Blazer- H&M $38
Blue Pencil Skirt- H&M $31
Gray Peep Toe Heels- Kohls $60
Chunky Pearl/Metal Mix Necklace- Kohls $27

Holiday Tomorrow! Excited to have the day off school and Do something fun with Cory. Maybe I'll convince him to do a little window shopping with me????!!! Wish me Luck!
Happy MLK DAY

Back to School {Him & Her}

Well, its back! The fabulous break is Dunnzo and now we are back to busy school and work. The worst part is dragging my butt out of bed in the morning when its FREEZING cold everywhere except my warm sheets alongside my personal heater {husband} to keep me cozy. I find myself wanting to wear the same thing to school everyday. Jeans or thick leggings, Flat boots that are comfy to walk in, and an over-sized sweater. Staying comfy for class is a sure way to get your nerd on and last throughout the cold months of the semester.
Lauren Conrad is the perfect example of this. I love how she's effortlessly fab in something simple and casual.

School for her

 Pants/Jegging- American Eagle $45
Chinese Laundry Boot- Nordstrom $100
Cream Crochet Sweater- Urban outfitters $54
Over-sized purse {for Books Etc} - Similar @ Jcpenny Mngo $60
Wear your Hair with messy wave, or top knot bun, Light makeup and your ready to go!

Im still in awe of how quickly  men can hop out of  bed and get to school/work all before i can even get out of the shower. It is so unfair, it often accompanies snarling and mumbling fairly inappropriate curse words under my breath at early hours in the morning {this fades quickly after kisses and i love yous}. However, Cory just mentioned to me that rather than going to school in jeans and a t shirt {which is his normal "go-to"}, he feels like he needs to get a little more professionally dressed for certain classes and/or interning. So i thought i would share some dress casual inspiration for our men to easily put together early in the morning.

dress casual for him

I still need to find look-alikes for these pieces. When i do, you'll be the first to know! Maybe I'll even convince Cory to model them for us.... just Maybe.

A Very Merry Christmas

I Cant Believe it has already come and gone! Christmas was a whirlwind this year and we loved every second of it. I have to admit, when school starts this next week i am going to have a huge adjustment to make in my sleeping schedule. We have been up LATE this Christmas break {Mostly due to Michael Schoffield and Lincoln Burrows in the TV series Prison Break} and our habitual 3 am bed time, and Noon Mornings are going to catch up with us very soon. Until then, I'm going to continue enjoying our pre-married schedule! Cory has been begging me {Since I've met him} to sit down and watch Prison Break because he was convinced I'd love it. I think he's regretting it now. I'm Pretty much an addict and can not stop watching it and/or lusting after Michael. Which i can not understand how he didn't see that coming. Speaking of addictions, I've lost all family members to the 'Tablet' games {Slash & Sudoku} this week. I don't know what it is about these games but I think my mom and dad just might go buy another tablet because its just too hard to share! I've never seen my parents even play a game like these, let alone LOVE them.

 {Exhibit A}

 Even cola dressed up Christmas eve{she doesn't love it. Can you tell?}

We played our annual unwrapping game on new years eve. It requires wrapping 6 gifts {one for each person} about 20 times. Sounds fun huh? Ya its not but after the wrapping part, the playing part is totally worth it. Each person rolls dice and whoever gets doubles first, picks up the first gift and starts trying to unwrap it as fast as they can while everyone else is still rolling dice {looking for doubles}. Once the next person gets doubles they get to grab the gift and continue unwrapping. Whoever gets to the gift and through all the wrapping first gets to keep it. {Repeat for every present}
Having a husband now is sure a benefit for me! I won Money and Cory won a Gas card.

This is what happens when you leave the boys in charge of wrapping!

We got completely spoiled this year.

AND....

I was Surprised with THIS ...

Coco Silver Kitchen Aid Mixer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never been so excited in my whole life. I seriously thought i might cry and my husband didn't quite understand my excitement. Its funny how we appreciate different things isn't it? He Cant wait til morning to set up our new TV and Smart Blue ray  that he had to stay up til 3 am setting it up and plugging everything in.  I Cant wait to pull out this baby... not to cook {oh no} but to admire it. Rub it. Take Pictures of it. My Very own Kitchen Aid. Its like I am officially a married, adult woman now! Weird.  I'd like to think it'll make me a more productive wife as well ... right?
